Quick answer

This page is the 31 July row. The audit row stays on the audit-case page. A return filed after the due date stays on the belated page. Preparing the return stays on the income-tax filing page. Do not send the income-tax password in chat. Call +91 94454 38387.

What the calendar listed

The calendar lists 31 July 2026 as the ITR due date for non-audit cases for AY 2026-27. It marks the row for individuals, HUFs, and firms where tax audit does not apply. That date has passed. AY 2026-27 is the return for income earned in the financial year that ended 31 March 2026. A holiday can move a date by a day or two. The portal shows whether that PAN still has this return open.

What 31 July is not

31 October 2026 is the row where tax audit under section 44AB applies, and that date has not passed. Section 44AB decides whether that row applies. The turnover limit is not copied onto this page. That date is on the audit-case page. 30 November 2026 is the transfer-pricing row. The calendar marks it as a plan, and that date has not passed. It is on the transfer-pricing page.

The calendar also lists a TDS return on 31 July, for April to June. That date has passed, and it is a different filing, on the quarterly TDS page. Filing one does not file the other.

If no return was filed

A belated return under section 139(4) may still be open until 31 December 2026, or until the assessment is completed, whichever is earlier. Confirm that date on the portal before you file. The late fee and the interest stay on the belated page. After the return is filed, e-verify within 30 days. That step is on the e-verification page. You complete it yourself.

Before it is filed

  1. Send Form 16, AIS, and the portal screen that shows whether a return for AY 2026-27 is still open.
  2. The desk confirms this was the 31 July row, and that tax audit does not apply.
  3. You approve the draft. The return is filed after that approval.
  4. You complete e-verification. The acknowledgement follows after the portal accepts the return.

Income-tax work starts at ₹2,000 on the Coimbatore income-tax page. A late file costs more. The quote is confirmed before filing. The first discussion is free. The length depends on the file.
