Income tax · salary return
ITR-1, also called Sahaj, is for a resident individual whose income stays inside this form. The office is at 515 Trichy Road, Singanallur.
This page is ITR-1. Capital gains, more than one house, or foreign assets stay on the ITR-2 page. A business with books stays on the ITR-3 page. Do not send the income-tax password in chat. Call +91 94454 38387.
Resident individuals with total income up to ₹50 Lakhs use ITR-1 when that income is salary or pension, one house property in single ownership, other sources such as bank interest or dividend, and agricultural income up to ₹5,000. It is the small salary and interest return.
The salary certificate is on the Form 16 page. The form list stays on the ITR forms page.
Do not use ITR-1 when income exceeds ₹50 Lakhs, when there are capital gains from shares or property, when you are a director in a company or hold unlisted shares, when there is more than one house property, or when there are foreign assets or foreign income. Capital gains take you out of ITR-1. ITR-2 is the usual form when there is no business income.
Filing ITR-1 when you have business income is the wrong form. A proprietary business or profession uses ITR-3 or ITR-4.
After the return is filed, e-verify within 30 days. The return is quoted before it is filed. The first discussion is free.
