Income tax · during the year
These are the instalments already listed on the tax calendar. A holiday can move a date by a day or two. Confirm the date on the income-tax portal before a challan is made. The office is at 515 Trichy Road, Singanallur.
This page explains the advance-tax rows on the 2026 tax calendar. The return itself stays on the income-tax filing page. Do not send the income-tax password in chat. Call +91 94454 38387.
For FY 2026-27 the calendar shows 15% by 15 June, 45% by 15 September, and 75% by 15 December. Those percentages are cumulative. By 15 September the total paid should reach 45% of the advance tax for the year. It is not 15% in June plus another 45% in September. The 15 March 2026 row on that calendar is the 100% instalment for FY 2025-26, and that date has passed. The 100% instalment for FY 2026-27 is 15 March 2027.
15 June 2026 and 15 September 2026 have passed. The next date the calendar lists for FY 2026-27 is 15 December 2026, at 75%. A short June or September instalment can still be paid. It can draw interest under sections 234B and 234C. The amount follows the shortfall and the provision in force, and it is confirmed before you pay. That interest is not a late fee on the income-tax return.
The calendar marks the rows for applicable taxpayers. Section 208 is what decides whether advance tax applies, after the tax already expected to be deducted. A resident senior citizen who does not have business or professional income is generally outside these instalments. A taxpayer using section 44AD or 44ADA may have a single instalment on 15 March instead of the four dates. Confirm that before you skip June, September, or December.
Advance tax is paid during the year. The return for income earned in FY 2026-27 is assessed in AY 2027-28 and is filed after the year. A challan for advance tax is not the self-assessment challan that is paid with the return. If the return for an earlier year is late, that is the belated and revised page, not another advance-tax instalment.
Income-tax work starts at ₹2,000 on the Coimbatore income-tax page. An estimate with business income costs more. The quote is confirmed before a challan is made. The first discussion is free. The length depends on the file.
