Future Tax prepares the Indian return for Tamils working in the Gulf who still have income or a bank account in India. The office is at 515 Trichy Road, Singanallur. Papers are shared online.
This page is the Indian income-tax return for a Tamil living in the UAE or Oman. A resident salary return stays on the income-tax filing page. Do not send the income-tax password in chat. Call +91 94454 38387.
A non-resident is taxed in India on income received in India, or income that arises in India. Salary earned and received outside India is generally outside this return. Rent from an Indian property, capital gains on an Indian asset, and interest that the Act taxes are in scope. We read the charging sections for the year of the return.
Residential status follows the days you were in India. Section 6 sets the tests for that year. The usual tests include 182 days in the year, and a shorter stay when the earlier years also add up. For an Indian citizen or a person of Indian origin who comes on a visit, the shorter test can be 120 days when Indian income, other than income from foreign sources, is above ₹15 lakh. Leaving India for employment can keep the 182-day test. Passport stamps or a day-count sheet decide the count.
If the count makes you resident, or resident but not ordinarily resident, foreign income and a foreign-asset schedule can come into the return. That is checked before the form is chosen.
Interest on an NRE account is generally exempt when you are a non-resident under the Act. Interest on an NRO account is taxable in India. The certificate shows which account it is. If the UAE or Oman also taxes the same income, the treaty is read before any credit is claimed. A rate is taken from the treaty for that year, not from a blog.
Income-tax work starts at ₹2,000 on the Coimbatore income-tax page. A Gulf file with rent, capital gains, or a status question costs more. The quote is confirmed before filing. The first discussion is free. The length depends on the file.
If you have income that is taxable in India, an Indian return can still be due. Foreign salary received outside India is generally outside that return when you are a non-resident.
